The Barn Team

The Barn Teams story begins when owner Steve Tenkewich (who has been in the construction business 40 years) was asked by a friend if he could dismantle an old plank home in western Pennsylvania built with wormy chestnut lumber. Having an interest in power washing and preserving wooden homes already - this became a passion of saving these old buildings and barns. We carefully dismantle the barns and tag each board, draw prints and ship them to become your home.

The team consists of Steve and his grandson Caleb, who was recently discharged from the army and looks forward to his future in the salvaging of these structures, and their local Amish crew of 5 gentlemen.

We enjoy our work but also love to pass on the stories we hear from the owners and neighbors and history of these vanishing works of art!
